“The goal is to connect to myself, not to perfect the pose” Daily practice through Yoga Teacher Training

I loved hearing this story from Kasia about how she found her way to the Yoga Happy app. I also love the idea that her husband gifted her a membership. I hope you enjoy it too.

Kasia's Story

Movement has always been an important part of my life – first, it was swimming, then ballet, dancing, pilates and finally yoga.

I had been already practising yoga for a couple of years (both in the studio and online) when I signed up for a yoga workshop of a well-known yogi in Poland (I just felt I had to be there, it was a very strong feeling – at that point I didn’t understand why.

After the workshop, the yogi sent us a follow-up e-mail with a couple of links, including the website of Celest Pereira (she also has classes in Yoga Happy). When I entered her website, I could see her 200-hour yoga teacher training (with Hannah) and it felt instantly that this is what I would like to do (and I was right – it was amazing!).

During this training I heard about Yoga Happy and when my husband asked me over a year ago if there is anything special I would like for Christmas, I suggested a membership to Yoga Happy – and it was such a wonderful present.

I am absolutely delighted with this app as the range of different classes is amazing – from beginner’s classes to the advanced ones, from short to long etc. Hannah adds new classes every month so there is always something new to practice (even over a whole year I didn’t manage to do all the classes from the app:).

Before Yoga Happy, I sometimes stuggled a bit to practise yoga every day but now, depending on my mood, I can choose what suits me best on a given day. The monthly challenges are really helpful to motivate me if there are days I am feeling more lazy.

Practising with Hannah helped me to understand that a certain yoga pose is not a goal. The goal is to connect to myself, to be in the present moment and appreciate my body and feel grateful for people and things in my life. After leaving the mat, I try to introduce the yamas and niyamas (yoga’s principles) into my everyday routine.
